DJ Free Leonard also known as "The Broken Treaty Poet" is a triple threat DJ, Poet and Producer originally from Oakland, California, who has been organizing in the Hip Hop Community to raise awareness for his cousin Leonard Peltier, a Native Political Prisoner falsely imprisoned for 44 years for being an Indian defending the peoples right to Self-Determination, Tribal Sovereignty, and the Traditional Way of Life.

Iconic Rockstar Tom Morello (Rage Against The Machine, Audio Slave, Prophets of Rage. The Nigh Watchmen) who is well known for his advocacy pertaining to Social Injustice is back on the front lines fighting for Freedom for Leonard Peltier, as in 1992 his band Rage Against The Machine released the "Freedom" song and music video to raise awareness for Leonard Peltier by honoring him at a majority of their concerts before the song was performed.

DJ Free Leonard wrote, produced, recorded, and performed on this track alongside poetry by Leonard Peltier himself which was recorded in 1990's from his book "Prison Writings: My Life Is My Sundance".
